Evaluation 4: How did you use media technologies in the constructionand research, planning and evaluation stages?
I again used slideshare to answer this question.
Evaluation 3: What have you learnt from your audience feedback?
I received a lot of feedback from audience for my music video, CD digipack and magazine advert.
To get the feedback I asked people in my media group, family and friends.
But to get more feedback and variety of comments I also posted my music video, CD digipack and magazine advert on sites such as YouTube and Facebook.
I received many positive comments for my music video, magazine advert and CD digipack such as the pictures I edited looked good and went well. They also said my video was good and made sense as the song went with the video. They also said the text went well with the images and the colours were visible etc.
Many comments said the effects used for the video worked very well with the theme and the video was clear and easy to see. They also said my video had a clear story line and that the video went well with the song.
Although i mainly got feedback for my videos i still got enough to make changes.
However i got many comments telling me what i could change or alter to make my products better.
These comments helped a lot as they gave me an insight of how to make my products better and increase viewer pleasure.
These comments included things like to make the background a bit lighter on my poster and CD cover etc. Adding more effects on my video and changing certain scenes and make the effect on my magazine advert more similar to my CD cover.
Some of the audience were 50/50 about the effect of my magazine advert and CD cover as some said it consisted with the theme and looked good where as others said it was too dark and you couldn't see the person on the picture properly. To resolve this problem i couldve made the picture a bit brighter but still stick with the original theme.
I took all the feedback i got a made some changes noticing they made my products better and look good.
I feel the audience feedback helps a lot as the audience are the people who will be looking and buying these media products so their opinion matters because this is for them and if they like it then the products will sell.
As many people have different opinions and feedback its good to get a variety of comments as people can have different ideas of how to make their video more successful.

Evaluation 2: How effective is the combination of your main product anancillary text?
I felt that all 3 of my products connected and the combination between them was effective.
Main Picture
The actress in the video i felt was the main focus for all three products.

I quite liked using the actress as the main focus for the image as the song and video is about her so i felt that this brought more meaning and went with the theme of the video.
Even though the clothes she is wearing in the video is different to the digipack and magazine advert it still works as you know this magazine advert is promoting the album/single/video.
I also felt that using similar pictures for the CD digipack and poster kept with the theme and looked good as when i researched other artist i noticed they used similar artwork for their magazine advert and CD digipack.
I think that keeping the effects for all the products very similar also consisted
with the theme and looked like they matched and fitted together.
Also by keeping these the same i feel that it tells the audience that these 3 products are together and are all about the same thing.
Throughout this task i have tried to keep with a certain theme. I have tried to make this simple yet very dark, gloomy and sad as the song i have chosen is very sad and deep so i felt that going with a 'pathetic fallacy' sort of theme and keeping it dull and dark instead of bright and vibrant went better and showed a lot of emotion. So i wanted to show this in all of my products, i done this by using different effects, scenery and shots. I edited my pictures and videos in a certain way to keep with this theme and make them all look similar. I feel that they all show this theme and mood, and the digipack and magazine advert especially compliment the song and video.
However overall i felt that all three of my products worked very well and linked together, i think they all kept with the theme and had a clear link making them all work to promote the album/single. Even though my video didn't go exactly to plan(due to lack of footage and editing issues) i still believe i don't the best i could and my video came out well and i was happy how the CD digipack and magazine advert came out and that they fitted and went with my music video.

Evaluation 1: In what ways does your media product use, develop orchallenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Magazine Advert.
Original picture i used for the poster.
For the magazine advert I decided to use a similar picture to my front cover as from what I found most artist use the same or similar pictures I also felt that this gave the same message as the front cover did and it kept with the whole theme i wanted for my digipack and video.
I used this picture as i felt it gave the same effect and meaning the cd cover did. The mood and style of the picture is the same and as you can only see a little bit of her face you can see she looks down and upset.
I again edited this picture also adding text to it.
Like my CD cover i used a similar effect for my magazine advert, i changed the exposure, saturation and contrast.
I tried to keep the same effect as the CD cover but made the magazine advert a bit softer and lighter as the poster promotes the album so it gives a taste and preview of the album etc.
For the text on the magazine advert i used the same font as i did for the CD cover, as this consisted with the theme of the digipack.
I again used the same colour for the text as it was very visible and stands out.
I used Photoshop to edit the picture and add the text.

CD Cover: Back
Original picture i used for the back cover.
For the back cover I decided to use a picture of the scenery from the video. I feel that the picture fits in well with the the theme and concept of the video and song.
I think that keeping a simple picture such as a picture of the scenery where the video is set has a lot of meaning as it shows that it's dark empty and very depressing showing no signs of happiness.
For the text on the cd cover I decided to keep it the same as the text I used for the name of the song on the front cover.
This is because it's very plain and simple, easy to read and fits well with the back ground picture.
Also looking at the back cover for the artist whose song I chose they also used a similar style of writing. It stands out but also softens it. I chose the similar sort of layout and style as the artist used for their back cover as i felt this is what looked best and went well.
I added a barcode to the bottom right corner of the back cover as from what i found this is where the barcode is usually kept.
I used Photoshop to put text and barcode on the image for my back cover.
Track list for the back of my CD cover:
