Costume
The clothes the actress in my video will be wearing will be very casual as The song is very laid back and simple so wearing very casual clothes will go well with the theme.
So the actress in my video will wear clothes such as jeans/casual tops/hoodies/jackets/ankle boots/trainers-converse.
And the colours of these clothes may include colours such as blues, black, grey, so very bland plain colours that wont stand out as this will go with the theme of the song and video.

Scenery
The scenery for my music video i want it to be very laid back and calm atmosphere.
So i would pick locations such as the beach, pier or the river and the park, as these locations fit the theme and go well with the song choice for my music video and sets a nice background for my video.
However considering the weather and because the beaches are far from home, meaning i would have to get everything filmed in one shoot as i couldn't keep travelling there. Also the days are getting shorter and its getting darker quicker so i wouldn't have a lot of time where as if i picked for the example the river, park or hills i could easily film closer to home and wouldn't have to do it all in one shoot i could spread it out.
I Also feel one of these locations would go with my video as I plan to film in the dark as it goes with my theme so you won't see a lot of my scenery but using for example the park I will able to tie it in.

This song is about a girl who still thinks about and wants her ex boyfriend even though it seems that she is in a new relationship.
She feels lonely, sad and doesn't know what to do, feeling more alone and full of regret.

Artist Research.

Lucy Rose

Lucy Rose, is an folk indie/indie rock English singer-songwriter from Warwickshire.

Although hasnt made any official music vidoes she has released an album 'Like I Used To' and singles such as 'Shiver', 'Red Lines', 'Scar'. her target audience is young teens and young adults. 

I picked Lucy Rose Shiver because i think this would be a good song to make a music video for. The song is very relaxing and laid back and as she hasn't made a video (at this time) for this so i wan† to make a video that has meaning and relates to the song.

Also i think out of all the videos i research this song was most relevant for what i was looking for and gave me more ideas to make a video for.

Narrative, Concept and Performance.

Narrative

• Taylor Swift - You Belong With Me

Narrative based videos are usually videos that tell a story. They normally 
havce the stpory lines of a boy and a girl together or wanting to be together, them going through a lot in their lives but cioming together in the end and it all working out.                                                                                       Taylor Swifts video for You Belong To Me is a narrative based video as it tells a story of a 'nerdy' girl who falls for a 'popular guy' who has a 'popular' girlfriend who is nasty and mean, after you see them talking to each other at various times, they finally come together as he leaves his 'nasty' girlfriend at the prom for the 'nerdy' girl.


Concept

• PSY - Gangnam Style

Concept videos are videos that have nothing to do with the song. They usually do not relate to the lyrics and are just random videos that haven't got a story to them. PSY Gangnam style is an example of concept videos as first the song is in Korean which most people will not undersdtand, then the video shows Psy performing a comical horse-riding dance and appearing in unexpected locations around the Gangnam District, such as an outdoor yoga session and a hot tub which clearly has nothing top do with the song as its just a dance video showing PSY and other people dancing.






Performance 

• Oasis - Wonderwall 

Performance based music videos are usually really basic and simple. The videos usually include the artist/band just miming to their song and thats it really, theres never a story to it or an exciting background its very plain and the main focus is on the artist/band performing their song.

An example for a performance based is Oasis Wonderwall, it features a single fixed camera shot, the same as is seen in the more common video, of the five band members miming to the song with a very plain background and not much else but them miming going on.
